My Morning Routine Deets
In this newsletter, I delve into my morning routine, shedding light on the intentional habits I've chosen to incorporate and the ways in which they contribute to my overall well-being.

Happy Wednesday, Wunderfully Well friends!
I hope the Thanksgiving holiday provided time for reflection and moments shared with loved ones.
As I've shared recently, a significant part of my life has posed many challenges lately, testing my mental capacity, patience, and trust in the universe. Balancing my impatience with my belief that what is meant for me will find me at the right time is an ongoing lesson. Learning patience has been one of my greatest challenges in this life.
During these mentally challenging times, I am sometimes drawn to abandon my healthy habits, opting for ice cream, more TV, consuming more social media. Yet, another part of me recognizes that the habits ingrained in my routine are a lifeline, especially in tough times, grounding me and fostering resilience to stress and change. Grateful for my morning routine, a cherished practice that has supported me through many challenges, I want to share its components and the reasons behind each step:
Meditate upon waking for 8-15 minutes:
I meditate first thing to eliminate any excuses later. Daily visualization helps me envision a positive and productive day ahead and feel clear-headed going into the day.
Journal with the following format:
Brain dump: Write down anything on my mind.
Three gratitudes: - check out my latest newsletter about how practicing gratitude supports our well-being.
Three people to send love to: Sending positive energy fosters empathy and gratitude for the wonderful people in my life.
Self-affirmation: Regular affirmations are known to boost self-esteem and confidence.
Manifestation: By including manifestation in my journal, I keep my hopes, dreams, and desires at the forefront, identifying any blocks to better understand myself and my limiting beliefs.
Drink 32 oz of water with lemon and a pinch of pink salt:
Adding minerals and electrolytes aids in water absorption, supporting fluid balance, nerve function, and muscle contractions. Salt contains trace minerals crucial for health, including iodine for thyroid function.
Take my dog for a 30-minute walk:
The benefits include sunlight exposure for circadian rhythm regulation and physical exercise for mental and physical well-being.
Make tea and read my morning finance newsletter:
I am a big fan of the Market Briefs newsletter and read it every weekday morning. This newsletter keeps me informed on current events in the finance world without the click-bait of other news articles. I personally do not watch the news or subscribe to any news channels as I do not believe that it is best for my mental health.
Make a smoothie:
I have a smoothie for breakfast almost every morning including the following ingredients:
Frozen mixed berries for fiber and antioxidants
Greek yogurt for protein and fat
Chia seeds for fiber
Hemp seeds for protein and healthy fat
Spinach for vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants
Coconut milk or water to blend
Get ready and head to work
When it comes to morning routines, it’s often not the what that is important but the why. Why am I participating in specific behaviors? What is the benefit that each practice brings? Does the practice continue to support me or is it time to iterate and remove or add?
My morning routine has evolved into a ritual mindfully crafted over years, a result of trial and error. I intentionally incorporate practices that contribute to my well-being, ensuring they align with my goal of feeling my best. Because I know I tend to feel anxious about being late, if I am running behind or am short on time, I make sure that I do what I have time for and prioritize what will have the greatest impact or feels best in that moment. The purpose of my morning routine is to support in feeling grounded, not add to the stress of the day.
I want to encourage all of you to look at your morning routine, question if the behaviors you are partaking in are adding to your well-being or perhaps adding stress to the day. Remember, it’s not about being perfect but doing what makes you feel best and sets up you for success each day.
Have a great week, ya’ll :)
